TRAILER: I Must Say ‘Kung-Fu Kid’ Looks Impressive…
We are getting one day closer to the release of The Karate Kid remake starring Jackie Chan and Will Smith’s son, Jaden.
Clark Kent says: I must say that after watching the trailer my opinion about the remake has changed. See the trailer after the jump.
You certainly remember the original 1984 film starring Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio. The new version borrows much from the original but takes place in Beijing.
Smith plays Dre, the role of Daniel Larusso in the original. Chan plays Mr. Han, a Chinese version of Mr. Miyagi. As in the original, a boy and his mother move to a new location to start a new life. Bullies torment boy. Boy learns martial arts from an eccentric instructor.
Clark Kent asks: So, they’re not going with ‘The Kung-Fu Kid’…? Eh, either way — check out the trailer below. ‘The Karate Kid’ will be in theaters in June 2010.
