I WISH I WAS THERE: Kickin’ It Live With Kappa Alpha Psi
Clark Kent says: The weather is horrible right now in New York, but a part of me wishes I was home for the party at the Robin Hood in Kent, Ohio. Shout-out to DJ Ricky Ruckkus, DJ Loc and Kappa Alpha Psi for giving the kids something to do on a Friday night. See what you missed after the jump.
For those that don’t know, I’m a native of Kent, Ohio (born in Akron) and I listen to too many rap songs. [Laughs] I put on for my city indeed and was fortunately to have a few friends who are trying to do the same. DJ Ricky Ruckkus partnered up with me to do a DJ Hero giveaway. We had flyers, Facebook, twits ‘n tweets, yet only a few managed to enter before the January 22nd deadline date.
Now if you’ve never been to Kent, I’ll tell you this — you gotta have an active imagination. Big city folk are spoiled in that way, but you can feel the energy leading to the Spinfest Kappa Alpha Psi party at the Robin Hood. Word on the street is that the line ran all the way down to Wendy’s!!! I wish I was there for that one.
FYI: The Kappas and I are going to do another giveaway in May before the semesters out! STAY TUNED!!
There were a few other highlights that I noticed about the Kappa’s party. See my thoughts below:
- Girls all over really like to rock those liquid leggings. Overkill, perhaps… but the ish is still sexy to see.
- Kent is truly an under 21 place now. (How many X’s are there in that picture?)
- Ohio is one of the few places you can go to get a good dance at during a real party!
- Lani-Lan got a big arse forehead! J/K! (Nice cut, fam-o!)
Who’s that that won the DJ Hero you ask? Well that’s Michelle Darlene and while I don’t know much about her, you guys out there let her know that Clark Kent says, ‘Thanks for participating and I hope you enjoy it!’
