Disney’s gone live with the first trailer for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two following its announcement earlier this week. The video goes heavy on gameplay and features co-op action between Mickey and Oswald.

Square Enix released this giant Kingdom Hearts 3D trailer. After recapping the events of the first two Kingdom Hearts, this epic shows gameplay from the Three Musketeers, Tron: Legacy, and Fantasia worlds. You’ll also get a closer look at the new enemies in Dream Drop Distance, aka the Dream Eaters.

Scruffy McGhee says: Tron: Legacy and The Three Musketeers?! I’m not quite sold on that idea, but for the kiddies, we’re sure that they’ll love it. What do you think?

Scruffy McGhee says: The nostalgic buff in me has my interest, but I’m concerned that Disney will find a way to screw this up—like they did with Tron 2.

John Carter transplants its titular hero, a Civil War veteran, to the red planet of Barsoom, better known to earthlings as Mars. There, Carter becomes embroiled in the political affairs of Barsoom’s warring alien races: the Tharks, the local 8-foot, multi-armed, green beings; the Red Beings of Helium, who are mighty pissed the Tharks kidnapped their beautiful princess Dejah Thoris; and the Therns, a race capable of manifesting any physical creation out of nothing.

Lucky for him, the gravitational differences between Earth and Mars grant the fish out of water super strength and the ability to leap great distances, which come in handy when combating enemies.

While Variety says the project is a low priority for the studio, Disney is planning on giving its theme park attractions the Justice League/Avengers treatment with Magic Kingdom, which would be the setting of a family adventure.

Ronald Moore (Battlestar Galactica) already wrote a script based on his own pitch for the project that Marc Abraham and Eric Newman will produce through their Universal-based Strike Entertainment. The initial plot took place inside Disneyland, says the trade.

The studio is looking to develop the project further with a new writer, who has not been hired yet.

The movie would feature well-known Disney-owned icons such as Mickey Mouse and friends, princesses, attractions from the parks, and more.

Separately from Magic Kingdom, Disney is filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth film in the franchise, The Haunted Mansion with Guillermo del Toro, Tomorrowland and Jungle Cruise.

On the princess side, the studio is working on live-action pics Snow and the Seven, Maleficent, and Cinderella.

We’ve got some new comments from director Joseph Kosinski, with some of the most interesting being in answer to questions about the film’s recent reshoots.

Clark Kent says: I’ll let Kosinski explain for himself after the jump.

Collider asked Mr. Kosinski about the additional and reshot footage, and he gave a detailed answer:

I like to call it additional photography because it really was additional photography. We added about five or six minutes to the movie, most of it in the first 20 minutes. Most of the shooting was done to set up Sam a little bit better and to give him a little more context. A couple scenes were done to bring to the surface some of the themes of the movie and to show the relationship of Sam and his father a little more clearly. Some of it was just picking up visual effects plates and inserts that we just were never able to get when we first shot.

Now, obviously the director of a film isn’t going to come out and say that he did rewrites and additional shooting for any negative reason, but until seeing the film we’ll take this as honesty rather than spin.

Clark Kent says: Is ‘You Again’ more of a Betty White comeback story? Or is it a perfect vehicle for Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis? Decide for yourself after the jump.

GOOD: There’s not much to say about this film other than the fact that the cast has three of the game’s best veterans in one film at the same time. Betty White, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Sigourney Weaver — all do their most to bring home the funny.

BAD: Director Andy Fickman (Race to Witch Mountain, Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical) and first-time writer Moe Jelline — make ‘You Again’ cliché. From blending wedding and high school comedy subgenres to predictable aplomb — the film’s funniest moments involve Betty White and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Underwritten ‘You Again’ runs out of steam — and ideas — early on leaving no one with anything that you’d respectably want on your filmography.

UGLY: Despite the efforts of a top-notch cast from Kristen Bell (Marni), Jamie Lee Curtis (Gail), Sigourney Weaver (Ramona), Odette Yustman (Joanna), Victor Garber (Mark), and Betty White (Grandma Bunny) — it’s the former Golden Girl star who amuses most out of the main stars. Major plot-holes malign this laugh-free script by rookie scribe Moe Jelline and the nasty mean streak is uncharacteristic for a Disney flick. Piling on insufferable coincidences one after another in attempt of being funny ends up becoming nonsense advice about mistakes humans make and how to resolve them.

Clark Kent says: In other words… Skip It! Save your money and don’t bother with this laugh-less flick. If you need to see it then find it online. See the trailer for yourselves below:

Clark Kent says: All the people who have something to say about Raven-Symoné must not have checked her credentials. After the jump Don’t Lose Your Day Job combines our sit-down with the Disney darling with a review of her latest project.

Raven-Symoné has been acting since before your favorite star of today was a star. Choosing to carve her own niche the 25-year-old has kept true to the Cosby Codes and created an empire through more family friendly fare. The Emmy Award nominated multi-hyphenate always aims to stay on her own path and in this exclusive interview with Don’t Lose Your Day Job we get a few questions with her about Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue that’s in stores today. After the interview make sure to read the review to know if Disney’s newest project is worth your hard earned money. Enjoy!

DLYDJ: Your character is a light fair who tries to teach Tinker Bell to light fireflies. Can you shed some light for the people on how kids can still relate to magic in such an ever-changing world?

RS: I think that with any movie that involves fairies, big ogres, or even Puss ‘n Boots — our imagination is fueled by the film, by the artist’s involved, and the creator of the project. Magic is relateable no matter what’s going on in the world. If you take away the magic and reveal the message within it all — what one really is learning from the Tinker Bell movie is how to be a smart girl, how to be a good person to your friends, and how to stay true to one’s self. There’s always some medicine behind the tale. Truly, it’s a beautiful thing.

DLYDJ: Can you talk about some of the different ways that you tried to come with the right tone of voice for your character Iridessa?

RS: Bill Cosby said it best, “If it’s not funny on the page, it’s not funny on the stage.” I read what’s on the paper and I take direction. I have fun throughout it all but the writing on the well thought out. When I step into the booth to lay down my vocals I’m already in the frame of mind of Iridessa. It’s honestly a lot easier than what you’d think.

DLYDJ: For the child who is trying to find themselves while growing up — what are some messages that you hope they take away after watching this movie?

RS: The only advice that I can give is that if you stay loyal to your friends, look around inside and of yourself, and continue to find the goodness in yourself and others then everything will be okay. Life is truly just a journey and hopefully you can experience it without experiencing too many pitfalls.

GOOD: ‘Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue’ is Disney’s attempt to re-stake their claim on the home DVD market and audiences young and grown will find comical and adventurous moments that will appeal to all ages/genders that just want to be entertained. Adults will be happy as the plot is set in two realms — the human and the fairy. The animation is stunning. Disney excels in creating detailed worlds and ‘Tinker Bell’ is full of lush visuals of the countryside, swaying green grass with each blade independent of the other, and believably full water — that it’s not hard to appreciate every scene. The film is fun for the whole family as the lovable Tink (Mae Whitman) visits Fairy Camp to continue her adventures from the first two movies.

BAD: The audio in ‘Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue’ isn’t as exceptional as the Blu-Ray quality video it’s presented on. The original sound design is to blame. While the dialogue comes across clean and clear — the soundfield disappoints. Front-heavy during most of the film certain qualities that come with the Blu-Ray DVD experience the audio tracks can leave the viewer wanting more for their experience. Combining the lack of sound with the lack of a powerful music score leaves the audience without a true sense of connection to the project.

UGLY: ‘Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue’ is for anyone who just wants to have an enjoyable good time with the family. Powered by Disney’s exceptional animation style — Mae Whitman reprises her role as Tink — and audience’s will enjoy seeing this on the 1080i HDTV. Whether you have kids or are a kid at heart you’ll enjoy what comes with the DVD purchase. While there isn’t much in the way of special features — fans of the past Tink films will enjoy the deleted scenes and Bridgit Mendler’s music videos on the Blu-Ray. Also, there’s a “Design A Fairy House” and “Fairy Field Guide Builder” for those who’d enjoy a brief featurette and a trivia challenge.

Clark Kent says: In other words… See It! The kids need something to watch amidst all this wildness. What’s the plot? Well, the studio has so far refused to reveal any details yet, so we’re going to go ahead and guess that it’s either about an organization that helps and polices creatures (like the Men in Black) or focuses on someone who has to go into witness protection when they see something mythological they shouldn’t have.

Ahmet has form with the studio, and with monsters; years ago, Disney picked up his his book for younger readers, The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless, which focused on a pair of siblings who discovered they were the latest in a line of monster hunters and had to use all their inherited skills to stop a nasty beast when their father gets kidnapped. The plan was to turn it into a movie, but nothing has come of it since then. Zappa will be hoping that this latest script purchase might actually make it to the screen.
