The extended three-minute Take Back Earth trailer for Mass Effect 3 has appeared online, via AGB. Lots more to see than yesterday’s clip, with some stuff reused from the VGAs trailer two years ago, including Reaper ships landing across the world.

BioWare unleashed a brand new CG teaser trailer for Mass Effect 3.

This teaser gives you a glimpse of the Reaper invasion. The full trailer will debut on Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead on AMC.

EA has released a new trailer for the upcoming Mass Effect 3, which they’re using to promote FemShep Friday — something they hope will bring more attention to the fact you can indeed play Shepard as a female.

As shown in the new trailer, Female Shepard is every bit as much of a badass as her male equivalent. There’s plenty of explosions, harsh words and fighting and general action. In other words, it’s a trailer that showcases the game’s blockbuster potential – there’s even dramatic slow motion.

Scruffy McGhee says: Mass Effect 3 will be released on March 6th on all three of the major consoles—a first for the popular franchise. How do you think ME3 will end?

Clark Kent says: I suggest before reading this review note that if you haven’t played the first ‘Mass Effect’ game then you should run and do so immediately. Everyone else — you can see if the sequel outshines its predecessor after the jump.

GOOD: ‘Mass Effect 2′ is the continued saga of Commander Shepard. The plot throws you right in the mix as Reapers, an advanced race of machines, are intent on doing their evil/bad guy thing. It’s up to you, as Shepard, to take the fight to the enemy. But you’re no one-man-army, first you must recruit a team. This is one of the key factors in playing ‘Mass Effect 2′ and it is with that the game separates itself from anyone like it. Cinematic conversations make all this possible and are smoother than ever. If you have played the first one your story carries over into the sequel making the replay value skyrocket. BioWare listened to everything that fans, critics, and naysayers had to say about ‘Mass Effect’ and it shows. The sequel is a much cleaner experience and makes the game really fun to play.

BAD: For all of what’s good about ‘Mass Effect 2′, it isn’t a perfectly polished game. Sometimes the game’s sound cuts out, characters progress gets cut short due to full game crashes, but thankfully those missteps are infrequent. This game only lacks if you haven’t played the game’s original story.

UGLY: ‘Mass Effect 2′ is dope. ‘Nuff sed. While revelations and plot twists won’t be as powerful if you haven’t played ‘Mass Effect’, games like this are once in a blue moon. The game is incredibly personal, yet grandiose in scale. Combat, side missions, and the mission design are outstanding. BioWare and everyone involved really stepped up to the plate and succeeded in achieving this incredible vision while only suffering from very few technical hiccups.

Clark Kent says: It’s about as close to a sci-fi classic that you’ll get for 2010. Folks are already hoping for ‘Mass Effect 3′ — so get a copy now! Enjoy the trailer below:

BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka has told NowGamer that the developer is working on unannounced titles for the PlayStation 3.

Asked whether the studios experience with the PS3 on Dragon Age could accelerate the chances of Mass Effect appearing on the console Muzyka told us: “All we’ve ever said when we’ve been asked about Mass Effect, is that we’ve launched it on 360 and PC. But PS3 for Dragon Age was exceptionally fun to do, and I can tell you we’re working on more unannounced PS3 projects right now.”

And despite the issues with the PS3 version of Dragon Age, the studio enjoy working on Sony’s machine. “For Dragon Age it was interesting – even though we have more experience as a studio working on 360, the typical assessment was that most of the review scores were a little bit higher on PS3,” said Muzyka. “The PS3 seems to be favourite among many Dragon Age fans. It represents advantages over 360, and 360 represents advantages over PS3 in some ways. We obviously have a great amount of affection for 360 and we’re going to continue to develop for on that. I think Mass Effect 2 demonstrates you can still push the envelope even further on 360 and we’re excited about the future of that platform – and PS3 for that matter. They’re both good platforms at the end of the day.”

The BioWare CEO also confirmed that the team at Edmonton had started work on Mass Effect 3. “We haven’t formally announced it yet, but the team has moved onto the next installment in the trilogy,” he said. “We always said it was a trilogy. When we announced Mass Effect 3 formally we’ll probably have more details around time-line and that sort of thing. But they’re already working on the next instalment. We do have a goal of enabling players to continue their experience on the PC and Xbox 360 – we haven’t talked about any other platforms yet, but those are the platforms the games have launched on.”
