Scruffy McGhee says: You weren’t supposed to see it, but now that it’s leaked Ubisoft has some interesting things to say about Rayman Legends for the Wii U. See for yourself after the jump.

Ubisoft have released the following statement with regards to a gameplay clip that was revealed by Gamekult.

“An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins‘ sequel has leaked over the Internet. This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features. This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits. Ubisoft confirms the development of Rayman Legends handled by Michel Ancel and his team in Montpellier.”

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is on our most-wanted list due to its blend of stealth gameplay and hi-tech weaponry and equipment. It should be a nice refresh from the normal run-and-gun of other military shooters.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction lying around, and nor are we PlayStation Plus subscribers, so we’re unable to get into the multiplayer beta that’s currently going on on consoles. We have to settle for watching video of gameplay.

Multiplayer will feature both competitive and co-operative modes that combine objectives and intel collection with team-based tactical shooting.

Originally scheduled for release last year, Ubisoft has said the delays to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier were necessary to keep the game’s identity unique.

Game director Eric Couzian told Digital Spy: “We have redesigned the game – sometimes too much, so we have had to draw it back – and we have improved many new things in terms of technology, the mission system, the audio system and rewrite the engine a lot.”

Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a man’s man — he’s rugged, ripped, mysterious and he looks menacing even in a dress-like robe. Ubisoft worked hard to make Ezio project such a style in the Assassin’s Creed titles, and is so confident in its wardrobe choices that it’s let Square Enix throw Ezio’s classic hood and straps on Noel in Final Fantasy XIII-2. Surely the layered, butchy furs and armor will remain as masculine with a smooth-skinned, pouty man underneath. Surely.

The Ezio outfit is available now on Xbox Live for $3 (240 MS Points), and tomorrow on PSN. See for yourself how Ezio’s clothes look on Noel, minus the hidden blades and plus a few glowing swords.

As part of Ubisoft’s “companion gaming” initiative, a Far Cry 3 themed iOS app is in development that will help unlock weapons, items and skills for use in multiplayer.

Multiplayer’s currency is Team Support Points, earned by reviving teammates, capturing bases and performing the Battle Cry skill. TSP will allow powerful weapons to be activated providing a buff to allies or debuffing the opposing team.

Ubisoft is promoting “silent communication” for Far Cry 3’s multiplayer; the ability to tag nodes, allies or enemies to send context-sensitive messages to teammates.

Ubisoft has just released a a trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier‘s Guerrilla Mode. The video, called “Inside Recon: Guerrilla Mode” shows off wave after wave of enemies. Gamers will have to use their skills, combat and stealth, in order to master Ghost Recon: Future Solider.

Exciting news was revealed today about the locations of Assassin’s Creed III and a bit more information regarding who Connor is. For starters, AC3 will take place in New York, Boston and what Ubisoft is calling the Frontier. Boston was a major player during the Revolution as was New York, but most battles took place out in the wilderness. Connor will have an opportunity to explore this vast area of wilderness, known as the Frontier. It has been reported that the Frontier will be an area that consists of a 2km x 2km area; almost one-and-half times the size of in Rome from Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.

Connor will be able to climb trees and rocks as well as swing from branch to branch, around this vast area. Another interesting aspect is the wildlife Connor will interact with. Tommy François, the series’ IP and development director, is “aiming for magical moments with animals not seen before in video games.” It had been reported killing animals and skinning them will play into the economics of the game, this seems to confirm it. Killing silently and swiftly will result in a better pelt, where killing with a musket will give you an average pelt.

The series’ “fiction stewards” apparently felt the game had strayed too far from its original focus on the secret war between the Assassins and Templars. It won’t be as simple as Assassins/Americans versus Templars/Brits—you’ll be taking out people on both sides of the war—and there’ll be more discussions between the two sides.

Ubisoft’s new trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier that shows the guys from Mega 64 taking on some of the game’s missions in co-op multiplayer. The three missions they play through are Invisible Bear, Tiger Dust, and Noble Tempest. The trailer says that all twelve of the game’s single player missions can be played in co-op.

A Signature Edition of the game is revealed in the trailer as well. It has two ultimate weapons (MK 14 Rifle for the Ghost Rifleman and the AK-47 Rifle for the Bodark Rifleman), 48 pieces of custom headgear, two custom weapon skins (a Penny Arcade skin featuring Twisp & Catsby and a Winter Digital skin), and an exclusive co-op map (“Moscow Suburb”). The Signature Edition is currently available as a free upgrade with pre-order at GameStop.
